The Men of St. John’s is a social service group open to any man in the parish that meets once per month throughout the year. Its mission is to support the activities of the parish as determined by the rector and Vestry. Throughout the past year, the Men of St. John’s have demonstrated their service to God, Christ and the parish through a number of service projects including the Shrove Tuesday Pancake Dinner and maintenance projects around the Church and Hosea Hall.
In addition to our service, we also have a number of social events throughout the year, including a Bourbon distillery tour, baseball games, and other social outings.
Meetings are open to any men of the parish and are held at 5:30 p.m. on the fourth Tuesday of every month, with a different member hosting the group in his home. Food is served along with a heaping helping of fellowship and even the occasional sing-a-long.
We encourage all the men of the parish, young and young-at-heart, to join us for this special ministry of friendship, frivolity and Christian service.
